This advice is applicable in everything you do. Every great writer, actor, scientist, PERSON in general started out as nothing more than we are now: Students with a passion, a drive, a want to be something more. If they can do it, why can’t we?

study2k15:

Drink a glass of water now, sit up straight, take a breath and then get off tumblr and go for a run, study whatever you have to study, read a book, watch the news, clean your room. Just stop being who you are and start being who you want to be. It´s your life and those are your decisions, so stop acting like a child and get your ass up and move forward. Just go for it. Now.

Hey! So, Coming Out Day is coming up soon (Oct. 11) and I just want to post a very stern reminder to NOT out anyone without their explicit permission.

Do NOT out anyone.

Got it?

Okay.

this is also a less important point, but still worth noting: DO NOT “come out” as an ally. don’t you dare.

Also - don’t feel pressured to come out. You don’t have an obligation to put yourself in an unsafe situation for any reason.

FINALLY

One of the things I like about this: they’re doing it without shouting down women.

Because “that doesn’t happen to guys” *IS* a feminist issue. Male victims of abuse being dismissed, blamed or ridiculed because they weren’t “manly” enough is a part of patriarchy. And you can raise awareness of that without dismissing other feminist issues or bringing it up as a “counter argument” to problems women face.

MRAs, take note. This is how you actually support men’s rights.

Please fire me. I work at McDonald’s and last week I spent 15 minutes trying to explain to an old man they we do not sell hot dogs (McDogs as he claimed it) then he threatened to report me for “withholding products from him”!

hes from an alternate timeline

the McDogs man actually proves the multiverse theory

Anonymous asked It's weird how people in other countries are amazed if a foreigner can speak even a touch of their language. They congratulate them. But in the west if you can't speak PERFECT english, you're looked down upon. Shows how highly they think of themselves.

I carry this water bottle around on purpose because I know the kids will ask me why I have a pink one. This is how every convo has gone:

Kids: Mr.C Why do you have a pink water bottle?

Me: Because I like pink, why?

Kids: Pink is for girls

Me: Why?

Kids: ummmmmmm

Me: Do you know why it’s for girls?

Kids: No it just is

That’s when I go into a brief lesson about how pink is JUST a color (I am the art teacher so they think I am the authority on colors) for everyone.

As a teacher I am trying my hardest to re-educate these kids in the most non threatening way possible. It will take them a minute to understand that pink isn’t a “girl color”, but a color we can all love

I love you for this

erasing gender essentialism is MEGA IMPORTANT!
